“Gohyakumangoku 55” Junmai Ginjo Sake

$24.3 $35.24
Description A rarity: a pure rice sake made with 100% Gohyakumangoku, an ancient rice variety that gives it a clarity comparable to that of Omachi rice sakes. Fruity, tangy, with a slight roundness. An excellent sake to enjoy as an aperitif. Storage: This sake should be stored in a cool place, between 2 and 5°C. As with all sakes, we recommend protecting it from light. For long-term storage, it is best to keep the bottle upright in a dark place. Lying the bottle down brings the sake into contact with the cork, which can be damaging. Ingredients: Water, rice, koji rice. (Alcohol: 15%) Shelf Life: Before opening and under proper conditions (as outlined above), you can store this sake for years. After opening, it’s a matter of personal preference: the “standard” shelf life is about ten days in the refrigerator, but some enthusiasts let their bottles age in the fridge for three to four weeks, or even longer. It all depends on your preference for oxidized sakes. Serving temperature: We recommend serving this sake chilled, between 8 and 10°C. A wine glass will allow you to better appreciate its bouquet, but a sake cup will better reveal its texture. Don’t worry—it will be excellent either way.
