Description Cherry wood flavoring, or “sakura”, is very popular in Japan and is used to flavor salts, sauces, teas and pastries. It is even used in a limited edition Kit Kat (available only in Japan). This is because Sakura cherry wood contains subtle floral, fresh and sweet notes – a dreamy scent that is as ephemeral as the wood itself. The magic of this liquid smoke is that it concentrates the soul of Japan in the spring, when the cherry blossoms turn the landscape pink and release their delicate scent… to the delight of onlookers gathered at their feet. Much more than an infusion, it is an invitation to capture the beauty of the moment, but also its fragility. How to use: One tablespoon of this liquid smoke, made from the stems and leaves of the Japanese cherry tree, will enliven an entire liter of broth. It can also be used to moisten food (especially meat and fish) before cooking, for a subtle smoky touch. Storage: Store in a plastic bag away from light, heat and moisture. Once opened, best stored in a cool place. Ingredients: Water, cherry blossom stems and leaves (1%). Shelf life: 12 months
